Day 1 — Day 2
Volcanoes National Park
Virunga Inn Resort & Spa is located in Kinigi, in the Northern Province of Rwanda, near the Volcanoes National Park. Accommodation options feature 20 spacious deluxe rooms in 14 well-appointed chalets equipped with coffeemakers, private terraces/balconies, TVs, hairdryers, and private bathrooms. Zanzibar

Day 1
Your Rwandan adventure begins with a warm welcome at the airport and a smooth transition to your hotel for some much-needed rest. Tuesday morning offers a gentle pace, allowing time for Shachris and a hearty breakfast before we journey toward the majestic northern highlands. Along the way, we’ll dive into the vibrant energy of Kimironko Market and master the art of coffee at an exclusive Gishushu masterclass. As the air cools, we’ll reach Musanze for a sunset city walk with the towering volcanoes as our backdrop. It’s the perfect introduction to the "Land of a Thousand Hills" before the big adventure tomorrow.
Day 2
Today is the day you’ve been waiting for as we head into the misty rainforest for an awe-inspiring encounter with Mountain Gorillas. Witnessing these gentle giants in their natural habitat is a soul-stirring experience that will undoubtedly be the highlight of your trip. After a morning of trekking and a celebratory lunch, we’ll make our way back toward Kigali, soaking in the last of the Rwandan countryside. We’ll stop for a delicious dinner and a few local activities to wrap up our stay in Rwanda. By 8:00 PM, we’ll be at the airport, trading the mountain mist for the tropical breezes of Zanzibar.
Day 3
After a late-night flight, you’ll touch down on the spice-scented shores of Zanzibar just as the stars begin to fade. We’ll head straight to our beachfront oasis for a restful morning, followed by a late Shacharis and a leisurely breakfast by the ocean. Once recharged, we’ll set sail on a private boat toward the breathtaking turquoise waters surrounding Mnemba Island. The afternoon is yours to swim, snorkel among vibrant coral reefs, or simply bask in the sun on the deck. There is no better way to wash away the travel fatigue than in the crystal-clear Indian Ocean.
Day 4
Friday brings a choice of island magic: either lose yourself in the winding alleys of historic Stone Town or head north to Nungwi for world-class beaches. Cultural explorers will visit the giant tortoises of Changu Island, while sun-seekers can dive into the turquoise surf and vibrant watersports. As the afternoon winds down, the focus shifts to the upcoming day of rest with the island’s natural beauty providing a serene backdrop. We’ll welcome Shabbos at 6:15 PM with our own meaningful Davening and a warm, festive meal at the hotel. It’s a beautiful moment to disconnect from the world and connect with each other.
Day 5
Shabbos in Zanzibar is a truly unique experience, offering a day of deep rest, reflection, and wonderful Chevra. Enjoy the stillness of the resort, long walks along the white sand, and meaningful conversation as we wind down our incredible journey together. The afternoon is yours to soak in the final moments of island paradise and prepare for the journey home. After Havdalah and a final group gathering, we’ll share a late meal and reflect on the memories made. We’ll head to the airport for our 4:35 AM departure, carrying the spirit of East Africa back home with us.
