Arrival & Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), pick up your vehicle and begin the scenic self-drive journey west toward Mount Meru. Check in to the Gran Meliá Arusha, an oasis of luxury in the heart of Tanzania's safari capital. Unwind in the lush gardens and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Serengeti & First Safari Experience

Take an early morning flight from Arusha to Seronera Airport with breathtaking aerial views of the Serengeti. From the airstrip, a relaxed game drive to Meliá Serengeti sets the tone. After check-in and lunch, head out on a golden-hour afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Full-Day Safari — Tracking the Great Herds

A full day dedicated to tracking the great wildebeest and zebra migration across the endless Serengeti plains. Your guide will follow fresh tracks and dust clouds as tens of thousands of animals move in winding lines. Predators shadow the herds. Stop for a picnic lunch in the field, and return at golden hour with the plains glowing.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Early checkout as you leave the vast Serengeti plains and drive into the lush Ngorongoro highlands. Descend onto the crater floor — one of the most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries on earth — for a game drive among lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and rare black rhinos. Arrive at Oldeani Mountain Lodge with time to prepare for Shabbos.

Relaxed morning with late checkout. Drive through the charming town of Karatu, stop at a curio shop for handmade crafts and souvenirs.
