A magnificent day awaits as you depart from the Gran Meliá Arusha, embarking on a scenic jeep transfer that will lead you towards the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your adventure truly begins with a descent into the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, where you will spend the better part of the morning on an immersive game drive, marveling at the dense concentration of wildlife, including the elusive 'Big Five,' within this natural caldera. Friday dawns over the Serengeti, inviting you to another captivating morning game drive across its boundless plains. You will set out early, traversing the vast landscapes in search of the iconic wildlife that awakens with the sun, from graceful giraffes to stealthy predators. With the sacred hours of Shabbat approaching, your expert guide will ensure an early return to the Meliá Serengeti Lodge, allowing ample time for preparation and reflection. Daily Itinerary: Friday & Shabbat Preparation Morning: Early game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Afternoon: Early return to the Meliá Serengeti Lodge to prepare for Shabbat. Evening: Shabbat candle lighting, followed by Shabbat dinner at the lodge.

Enjoy Shabbat tranquility amidst the natural splendor of the Serengeti. Following a leisurely breakfast, you will embrace the serene atmosphere, perhaps enjoying a gentle stroll within the designated areas of the Meliá Serengeti Lodge grounds, allowing the vastness of the plains to inspire quiet contemplation. We will have. a communal Shabbat Tefilah, followed by kiddush with the scholars in residence discussion, and lunch. After Mincha seudah Shelishit will be served in the dining room. Shabbat ends at 7:27pm, with a joyful havdalah, and melave malka.

Day 7
On Sunday morning, you will have breakfast before heading out for another full-day game drive in the Serengeti. Your guide will drive you through different areas of the park to track predators and observe large herds of grazing animals. Midday, you will stop to eat a packed lunch out in the park. You will spend the afternoon continuing your safari and exploring new ecosystems within the reserve before returning to the Meliá Serengeti Lodge in the evening for dinner. Dinner is a unique Bush Dinner in the wild, with an exquisite sunset view, a once in a lifetime opportunity.

For your second-to-last day in the Serengeti, you have two choices for the morning: Hot Air Balloon Safari (Optional extra: $599 per person): Take a sunrise flight over the plains, followed by a bush breakfast when you land. Morning Game Drive: Head out early to track predators and herds while the animals are most active. Afterward, the late afternoon is yours to relax at the Meliá Serengeti Lodge. You can unwind and enjoy the views from the property before wrapping up the day with dinner.

Enjoy your final breakfast at the Meliá Serengeti Lodge. After check-out, you'll head to the Seronera Airstrip for a light aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to connect with your flight home, wrapping up your 9-day Kosher Safari. (Note: Your original text referred to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport as JRO. JRO is actually Kilimanjaro, which makes sense for international departures from the Serengeti, whereas Abeid Amani Karume is in Zanzibar. I used JRO here for accuracy). Optional Zanzibar Extension: Fly to Zanzibar (arriving around 2:00 PM). Take a walking tour of Stone Town. Transfer to Meliá Zanzibar to check in and have dinner.

On Wednesday, May 26th, you can spend the day relaxing at the Meliá Zanzibar or head out on a few excursions: Morning: Take an exclusive tour of Mnemba Island to enjoy the water and island scenery. This is a unique opportunity to see the ocean wildlife, the amazing corals, and an opportunity to see dolphins up close. Afternoon: After lunch, go on a boat tour that brings you to Jozani Forest to walk through the area and spot wildlife, including the rare red colobus monkeys. Evening: Return to the resort to relax and have dinner.

Enjoy your final breakfast at the resort before checking out. You'll have a bit of free time to finish packing and relax before your private transfer departs. After Checkout we will stop for a spice Farm tour where you get to see and taste how spices like nutmeg, vanilla and nutmeg are grown. From there we head to Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) for your onward flight home.
