While South Africa is a year-round destination, we generally recommend planning your Cape Town and Kruger safari between May and October. This period aligns with the dry season in the Kruger area, which is ideal for wildlife viewing. As water sources become scarce, animals congregate around remaining waterholes, making them easier to spot. The bushveld vegetation also thins out, improving visibility. Concurrently, Cape Town experiences mild, pleasant weather during these months, perfect for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
