Following the Great Migration Across Borders
The Great Migration is a dynamic spectacle, and its location shifts throughout the year. Our Kenya and Tanzania combo safaris are expertly timed to ensure you are always in the prime viewing areas:
- July to October: During these months, the wildebeest herds typically concentrate in Kenya's iconic Masai Mara, often undertaking dramatic river crossings of the Mara River. Our safaris will focus on the Kenyan parks during this period, including the Mara.
- November to June: For the remainder of the year, the migration can be found traversing the vast plains of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. From the calving season in the southern Serengeti (January-February) to the north towards the Mara River (May-July), our itineraries are designed to keep you close to the herds.
By offering a combo safari, we provide the flexibility to position you optimally, granting a comprehensive understanding of this immense ecosystem and its inhabitants.

Seamless Logistics: Border Crossings and Visas
Navigating the border between Kenya and Tanzania is a key part of this adventure, and we handle all the intricate details. Depending on your itinerary and preference, transfers can be by comfortable private vehicle via the Namanga border crossing, or by internal charter flights, which offer stunning aerial views and save travel time. It's important to note that most non-East African Community passports require separate visas for both Kenya and Tanzania. We advise checking the specific requirements for your nationality well in advance of travel.
Our Commitment to Glatt Kosher Excellence in Two Countries
At The Kosher Safari, our commitment to mehadrin standards extends across borders. We meticulously source and prepare all glatt kosher meals, with dedicated mashgiach supervision throughout your journey. Our primary kosher kitchens are established in Nairobi for the Kenyan leg of your safari and in Arusha for your time in Tanzania. This ensures a consistent supply of delicious, halachically compliant cuisine, allowing our guests to savor every moment without culinary concern. Furthermore, we provide full Shabbat and Yom Tov support, including private minyanim, davening spaces, and all necessary arrangements for a truly observant and enriching experience in the wild.
Why Go the Extra Mile for the Combo Safari?
